16 weeks now!

So I am 16 weeks along now.  I have been having a rough past 4 weeks!  About a week ago I started spotting and I got so worried that something was wrong!  I called my dr and he said that if there is no pain then he is not worried!  I spotted for 4 days and was, of course, paranoid the entire time!  On top of the spotting I have been having terrible headaches.  They started about 4 weeks ago but didn't get bad until about a week ago!  I have terrible pain in my neck that wraps all the way up over the top of my head to my sinuses.  The muscles in my neck and shoulders tighten and hurt as well!  They have also had me worried as they can last for days at a time!  The longest I have had one last is 4 days!  I have never had these symptoms before in pregnancy, although, I know they can happen.  I got myself so worried though because I have never had any problems like this before.  The headaches get so bad that they put me in tears!  I ended up sitting on the floor in my shower for 45 min in tears one night because the pain was so bad!  All I could do was cry and pray that God would take my pain away!  My headache did finally ease up but it didn't go away, however, I was able to go to sleep.
I had my doctor's appointment yesterday (7-13-11).   I was so worried that the doctor was going to find something wrong.  I also had to take my glucose test this time because I had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy and I was on the edge with my other two.  That is not exactly a fun test to take.  They also had to draw blood for the second part of my down syndrome test as well.  The nurse weighed me and I noticed that I had only gained 5 pounds total in 16 weeks (4 months) and only 1 pound total in the past 4 weeks!  I was happy with that but I did ask the dr if she was ok and happy with that.  She was perfectly fine with it.  I was anxious to hear the baby's heart beat on the little monitor.  I was also paranoid that something was wrong and maybe the doctor wouldn't find the heart beat.  As soon as she put the monitor on my belly, I immediately heard my little munchkin's heart beat.  I smiled and the doctor smiled and said it sounds great!  I was so relieved!  I then explained to the doctor about my headaches and how bad they had been.  She then wrote me a prescription for Fioricet, which is a combination of Tylenol, Caffeine, and a little bit of a narcotic.  I was glad that she was understanding and felt it necessary to write me a prescription.  She also said that these headaches can last for another month or so.  I was not happy to hear that but I am hoping I can make it through with my meds on hand!  I must say I am feeling much better now that I have been able to see that I and baby are doing just fine!  I also asked the doctor about my spotting and she said as long as baby has a healthy heart beat, there is no concern!  I was also happy to hear that!
Well that is my update for now!  I will post more probably after my next appointment which will be the big ultrasound to find out what we are having!  Praying for a girl (Allee Renae Coker)!!!!!!!!!!!!
