Holidays are over!

Christmas and New years flew by so fast but they were both full of excitement and joy!

Christmas Eve afternoon, we went over to Lance's parents' house to open and exchange gifts with his sister and brother.  Christmas Eve night, we went to our Christmas Eve service at church.  Then we made our way to my parents' house where we had a wonderful dinner made by my mom.  Dinner consisted of very yummy sliced ham, green beans, broccoli casserole, sweet potatoe casserole and the best dinner roles you will ever eat in your life ( Mrs. Shubert's dinner roles)!   Then for desert we had: pumpkin role, cookies, red velvet cake!  It was all so good!  Then after all of our extended family left for the night, our immediate family (mom, dad, my sister, brother-in-law, my self and Lance and the kids) all exchanged gifts.  Then we went home and put the kids in bed so Santa could come leave their presents under the tree for the next morning!  We actually ended up having to wake the kids up the next morning because they were exhausted from being up late the night before!  However, as soon as we woke them up and reminded them that Santa came, they bolted for their bedroom doors and hurried into the livingroom to see their presents!  Their faces lit up when they saw their gifts under the tree.  It was such a joy to watch them as they openned each gift one by one.

After the finished openning their gifts, we left and headed over to my aunt's house for breakfast (which was also another amazing meal).  Breakfast consisted of 2 breakfast casseroles, 2 potatoe casseroles, a sweet dish with cresent rolls and cream cheese and cinamon and sugar (not sure what it's called), and mixed fruit salad with a yummy sweet sauce to go with it.  You can't go wrong when you eat with the Hazlegrove family!

After breakfast, the we left and headed over to Hayli and Austin's grandmother's house.  She had quite a few gifts for them as well.  She even had a couple things for Houston.  We hung out there for a while and then headed over to Hayli and Austin's great grandparents' house.  Their great grandparents usually just give them money for Christmas which is also a very generous amount.  They also got Hayli a very cute dress and Austin a very nice looking dressy outfit.  Then they even gave me an extra $50 and said $40 was for me and $10 was for Houston.  After we left there, we headed over to my grandparents' house for Christmas dinner.  The main item on that menu was a wonderfully deep fried turkey! Christmas was just perfect!

Now for New Years!  On New Years Eve the family went to P.F. Chang's for dinner.  It was amazing as always!  After dinner we went to my aunt's house to hang out for the rest of the evening until midnight.  My Aunt and I spent some of the time making and baking some goodies and snacks to munch on while we waited to ring in the New Year.  We spent some time all hanging out chatting while my uncle played different songs from his IPOD.  We had a very enjoyable time.  When it came time to ring in the New Year, we all gathered in the livingroom to watch the count down on the TV.  As soon as 12:00 hit, I got my midnight New Years kiss from my husband of 1 year!

The holidays were amazing and I couldn't have wanted it any other way!  I have an amazing husband and and amazing family (immediate, and extended).  Thank You Lord for everything you have given me!
